Trekking in India has always been keen about safety on the adventure journey. We have prepared Trekking Equipment List which the trekkers will need during their trek in India. The following list should help you with your packing. Generally, you should always try to keep the weight of your equipment to a minimum. The weight of your trek bag while trekking should be no more than 15 KG.

  1. Small, personal first-aid kit. (Simple and light)
  2. Aspirin, first-aid tape, and plasters (Band-Aids)
  3. 1 skin-blister repair kit.
  4. Anti-diarrhea pills.
  5. Anti-headache pills.
  6. Cough and/or cold medicine.
  7. Anti-altitude sickness pills: Diamox or Acetylzolamide.
  8. Water purification tablets or water filter.
  9. 1 set of earplugs.
  10. Extra pair of prescription glasses, contact lens supplies.
  11. Stomach antibiotic: Ciprofloxacin, etc. Do not bring sleeping
    pills as they are a respiratory depressant.
The Following items for Trekking & Hiking: -  
  1. Hiking boots,
  2. Trekking Socks.
  3. Trekking trousers.
  4. Waterproof (trousers/jacket).
  5. Base layer shirts.
  6. Fleece jacket.
  7. Sunhat and Woolen hat Sun protection (including total bloc for lips)
  8. Sunglasses.
  9. Gloves.
  10. Head torch (spare bulb and batteries)
  11. Water bottles 1 Liters.
  12. Antibacterial hand wash.
  13. Small towel.
  14. Daypack (25-30 Liters)
  15. Trekking poles.
  16. Sleeping bag 4 or 5 season (up to – 20ºC)
  17. Down Jacket.
  18. Personal First Aid Kit.
  19. Or any other if necessary.
